I have been researching several Crago/Craigo (James, John and another James) families that settled in Washington Twp., Williams Co, later Defiance Co. I would like to exchange information and locate information and burials in Defiance County about any Crago or Craigo. Have tombstones in Washington Twp. been transcribed?

Trying to locate the death records for my gg grandfather and gg grandmother Abraham and Charity Hart. They appeared in Hicksville, OH in the 1880 census but not the in 1900 census. A relative recalls a real estate transaction in 1892 regarding Abraham. They seen to have disappeared!! I am persuing the idea they may have moved in with one of their children.

1. Elizabeth Shasteen - Richland Township Defiance Co OH death record died 1856 widow age 74 born VA birth calculated 1782. Suspect may be wife of William Shasteen of same area who was last on the census in the area in 1830.
2. Frances Shasteen Holly b 1784/1800 VA died after 1850 census Highland Township, Defiance Co OH. Could conceivably be the Elizabeth above if divorced and reverted to maiden name but nothing to indicate this except proximity. Married to Nathaniel Holly 8 Jul 1818 or 1819 Gallia Co. OH

Reasonable path followed in census records to trace family to:

• 1850 Melford Defiance OH census potential son Nathaniel Holly 35 b 1815, Tabitha 32, Levi 14, Sarah A K 11, Joseph 6, Martha 2, Mary J 4
• 1850 Highland, Defiance OH census – Frances Holly 56 b VA abt 1796 under John Holly 23, Susannah 20, Jacob J 1 Jeney 25

Would appreciate any info on any of the Holly family members as it might lead to something else.
